Three residents have been charged with firearm, ammunition and drug possession offences after officers raided a home in Bexon, Castries on September 29.
The Major Crimes Unit obtained a warrant to search the property of Tashem Preudhomme, police said in a statement. During the operation, investigators seized a Glock 19 9mm pistol, a 31-round extended magazine, 17 rounds of 9mm ammunition (eight of which were 9mm Luger Norma rounds), cannabis resin and EC$16,310 in cash.
Tashem Preudhomme and Thesia Preudhomme were taken into custody at the scene. Police formally charged both the next day, and a magistrate remanded them into custody after they appeared in the First District Court and were refused bail.
Zayne Austinay, described as a household resident, was arrested separately on October 2 and charged with the same offences. The police statement did not specify whether he was granted or denied bail.
