Virgin Islands Everything brings together the day's news from the British Virgin Islands, the US Virgin Islands, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Dominica and the wider Caribbean, alongside our own features, polls and the Viral video section.

Who we are

We are an independent, locally owned publication based in Road Town, Tortola. The site was built and is run from the British Virgin Islands by Gwop Services. We are not affiliated with any government, party or other news outlet, and we have no paywall.

How we work

Our newsroom runs a monitoring system that reads the public feeds of established Caribbean news outlets and government information services around the clock. When a story breaks, the system drafts an original report from the facts on the record, combining coverage when several outlets report the same event, and an editor reviews what goes out. Our own features, interviews, polls and videos are written and produced by us directly.

We use software, including AI tools, to help draft and organise reports. Every published story is the responsibility of our editor, and the outlets whose reporting informed it are credited at the foot of the article.

Editorial policy

Our newsroom monitors the public feeds and pages of established Caribbean news outlets and government information services. When a story breaks, we write our own original report from the facts on the record, combine coverage when several outlets report the same event, and credit the outlets whose reporting we drew on at the foot of each article.

We do not copy articles, headlines or photographs. We do not conduct interviews or attend events, and we never present another outlet's reporting as our own eyewitness account. Stories involving crime, court matters, deaths or unconfirmed claims are reviewed by an editor before they are published.

Corrections

If you believe a story is inaccurate, please contact us and include the link. We will review the original reporting and correct the record, and note the correction on the story.
