During a National Democratic Party radio broadcast on November 4, a caller raised concerns about Sixth District Representative Myron Walwyn's dedication to the party, comparing his approach to that of Third District Representative Julian Fraser.

The listener questioned Walwyn's membership in the NDP. Deputy Chairman Melvin "Mitch" Turnbull responded by confirming that "He is still a member of the National Democratic Party."

The caller argued, however, that membership status alone was insufficient. The resident contended that Walwyn, given his capabilities, ought to take on a more active part in advancing the party's work. "He not strengthening the party to me," the caller said. "People would love to hear him with the party."

The comparison to Fraser centred on a pattern the caller perceived: that Walwyn appears assured of re-election in his district regardless of his party visibility, and may therefore be free to clarify his political ties only after winning office. "He should have been more upfront with the party because people would love to hear him with the party. But to me, he is behaving something like Mr Fraser. He knows his people are going to put him in, and when he gets in, then he just say what he want to be in the party," the resident said.

The caller also expressed dissatisfaction with what he saw as a lack of transparency. "I don't like that kind of thing. I like when I am supporting to know what I am supporting. I believe in being straightforward," the resident stated.

Walwyn has kept his public work centred on the Sixth District, with no visible NDP branding attached to his constituency efforts. He has also not participated in the party's radio programming. In April, he unsuccessfully sought the position of deputy chairman.

When Virgin Islands Platinum News previously asked Walwyn about rumours regarding his NDP future, he declined to comment. In an October statement, he rejected reports of talks with the People's Leadership Movement and reiterated that his priority is serving constituents in the Sixth District.
