Police have arrested 23-year-old Ty'rique Parris following an investigation into gunfire in Castle Coakley, with prosecutors filing seven weapons and endangerment felonies against him across two separate court dockets on the same day.

Parris was taken into custody on October 15 after a Superior Court Magistrate Judge signed an arrest warrant. He was unable to secure bail and was remanded to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility in Golden Grove.

The primary charges relate to an incident on December 9, 2025, around 9:21 p.m., when the territory's Gunshot Detection Center picked up acoustic signals indicating gunfire in Estate Castle Coakley. Officers who responded to the alert recovered spent bullet casings and an empty firearm magazine from the road. After forensic ballistics analysis, detectives identified Parris as the suspect.

Under court case SX-2026-CR-00269, he was charged with unauthorized firearm possession, unlawful ammunition possession or sale, first-degree reckless endangerment, and illegal discharge of a firearm.

A second complaint, docket SX-2026-CR-00270, was filed the same day and added three more felony counts tied to an alleged September 18, 2026 incident: unauthorized firearm possession, unauthorized firearm possession in a vehicle, and unlawful ammunition possession or sale.

Parris has a prior criminal history. He was arrested in June 2022 following a 2021 road rage pursuit and shooting near Barren Spot Village Mall, facing attempted murder and first-degree assault charges. In December 2025, he received an Order of Probation Without Conviction in that case. The Superior Court released his bail and lifted a property lien on September 30 and October 2, 2026, only for the new charges to be brought days later.

The Office of the Territorial Public Defender represents Parris before Magistrate Judge Christopher M. Timmons. Court affidavits remain sealed, and he remains held pending further proceedings.
