A Commission of Inquiry will hold its first public hearings next Tuesday, October 13, into a boat collision off Anse Cochon that claimed four lives and injured several others on July 18.

Retired Justice Mario Michel leads the five-member panel. Serving alongside him are maritime consultant Cuthbert Didier, retired Superintendent of Police Kentry Frederick, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Luke Defreitas. Shahida Charlemagne-Octave provides legal counsel to the Commission.

Hearings will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the Parliament Building in Castries. The public and media are welcome to attend. Those wishing to testify before the Commission should reach out to secretary Lenita Joseph by letter, email at [email protected], or phone at (758) 285-6273.
