Lions International District 60B Governor Hyacinth Jeremiah completed an official visit to the Virgin Islands from October 24 to 26, with engagements coordinated by the Lions Club of Tortola and Valley Sound.

The three-day tour assembled Lions members alongside government officials and representatives from non-profit organisations across both Tortola and Virgin Gorda. A press release issued by the clubs on November 4 stated that the visit emphasised leadership, accountability, community service and the strengthening of partnerships throughout the territory.

On October 25, Jeremiah travelled to Virgin Gorda to meet with the Valley Sound Lions Club. His time there included an audit of club operations, discussions on administrative practices, a review of ongoing projects and consideration of future service priorities.

The following day brought a packed schedule. Jeremiah appeared on a radio interview broadcast on ZBVI and made formal calls on Governor Daniel Pruce, Premier Dr Natalio D. Wheatley and members of the House of Assembly. Those present for the meetings included Speaker Corine N. George-Massicotte, Deputy Premier Julian Fraser, Opposition Leader Marlon A. Penn and Deputy Speaker Dr Karl Dawson.

Jeremiah also held separate meetings with non-profit sector representatives. These included Rotary Assistant District Governor Shan Mohamed, members of the Anegada Lions Club Branch and prospective Leos, the youth division of Lions Clubs International.

At the Tortola Lions Club, Jeremiah examined the organisation's plans, objectives and goals while offering guidance intended to strengthen its growth and operational effectiveness. The clubs stated that the visit reinforced the value of capable leadership, effective administration and joint effort in carrying out community service work. The engagement also created opportunities to deepen ties among Lions Clubs across the territory and within District 60B.
