The BVI Electricity Corporation is rolling out a new community engagement programme featuring 11 forums spread across all nine Electoral Districts. The 'Beyond the Bill' initiative aims to connect residents with utility leadership and staff to discuss electricity services, operations and customer concerns.

BVIEC announced the plan in a press release dated October 29, 2026. The corporation said the forums will allow households and businesses to interact directly with management and departmental representatives, learn more about how the utility operates, and get answers to questions affecting their communities.

The opening forum takes place in Electoral District 1 on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the West End Community Centre on Tortola.

Each gathering will feature presentations from BVIEC departments on topics including how to read electricity bills, VIEWCo and the future of utility services, customer services, digital services, renewable energy and electrical safety, and power generation and outages. Residents will be able to ask questions directly of the corporation's leadership and staff.

BVIEC is inviting people to submit questions beforehand via the corporation's social media accounts, especially matters they want raised at their local forum.

The initiative will run through 2027, with at least two forums scheduled each active month except December. In addition to meetings on Tortola and Virgin Gorda, separate forums will be held on Jost van Dyke and Anegada. The corporation will announce further dates and locations as it finalises arrangements with District Representatives and other partners.
