People living in Nottingham Estate, Fort Hill and nearby areas should brace for brief water supply disruptions while contractors seal the interior of the Sabbath Hill reservoir on Tortola.

The Ministry of Communications and Works announced on October 12, 2026, that the resealing project follows completion of the facility's interior cleaning the previous week. Florida AquaStore has taken on the work, which aims to restore the condition and dependability of the 500,000-gallon tank.

The Ministry expressed regret for any disruption to residents and called for patience during the undertaking.

This project is one element of a broader initiative to restore water storage facilities across the Virgin Islands. The wider programme also covers reservoirs at Fort Hill, Hannah Hill, Balsam Ghut and Minton Hill. The Ministry's objective is to boost the Territory's water storage capacity and strengthen the long-term stability of the water system.
