Police seek Frederiksted man in domestic violence property case

The Virgin Islands Police Department is searching for a 23-year-old Frederiksted resident accused of destroying property in a domestic violence matter.

Jose Ayala has not made a court appearance as of Wednesday morning and remains outstanding, according to court records reviewed by police. He is described as a Black male standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing roughly 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say Ayala frequents the Marley Homes housing community in Frederiksted. The case is tracked under police complaint number 26XP09995.

Authorities warn the public not to approach Ayala if spotted. Anyone with information should call 911 immediately, contact Patrol Officer Careeme Smith at the Wilbur Francis Command station on (340) 778-2211, or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
