The Anguilla Tourist Board completed a five-day sales mission across the northeastern United States in mid-September, meeting with more than 200 travel advisors to promote the island as a destination, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
The roadshow ran from September 14 to 18 and covered New York City, Long Island, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The delegation held client luncheons, dinners, office presentations and networking events to connect with travel professionals.
Anguilla Tourist Board Chairman Sean Richard and Deputy Director of Tourism Chantelle Richardson led the delegation, alongside Vivian Chambers, U.S. sales representative with The Muse Collection. The team presented information on the island's tourism offerings, including accommodations, attractions, culinary experiences and visitor amenities.
Luxury hotel partners Zemi Beach House and Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club participated in the initiative, showcasing their properties and guest experiences to advisors. Presentations also took place at Global Travel Collection in New York City and Travel 15 in New Jersey.
Richardson stressed the ongoing value of travel advisors in an increasingly digital landscape. "As technology continues to make travel information more accessible, trusted guidance becomes even more valuable," she said, noting that advisors bring expertise and personal understanding that technology cannot fully match.
Tourism officials said the roadshow strengthened relationships within the travel trade, increased destination awareness and supported efforts to drive bookings from the U.S. market. The initiative reinforced Anguilla's position as a premier Caribbean destination known for luxury and personalized hospitality.
Anguilla is accessible from major U.S. gateways including Boston, Newark, Baltimore and Miami, as well as from Puerto Rico and other Caribbean hubs. The island is known for its 33 beaches and is located a short flight from St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
