Forty travel agents representing thirty Puerto Rican agencies attended the BVI Luxury Summit 2026 on October 16 in Isla Verde, Carolina, to explore luxury travel opportunities in the British Virgin Islands.

The BVI Tourist Board office in Puerto Rico organised the gathering at the TRYP by Wyndham Isla Verde Hotel. Five businesses participated: Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina; Long Bay Beach Resort; My Caribbean Charters; and Tradewind Aviation.

RaeNisia L. Scatliffe, Regional Marketing Manager at the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission, said the board was "very pleased with this year's turnout and to see so many agents interested in learning more about the luxury offering we have in the BVI." She added that organisers were "grateful to the new providers who joined the event this year, expanding the transportation and accommodation options available to Puerto Rican travellers."

The programme featured a presentation covering destination overview and travel trends across the Virgin Islands, followed by individual sessions with each participating property. A panel discussion rounded out the day, focusing on what clients seek and expect when booking vacations in the islands.

This marked the fourth edition of the annual summit.
