16-year-old dies after being pulled from Charlestown waters

A 16-year-old boy died after being recovered from waters off Charlestown, Nevis, on Thursday afternoon, October 2nd.

Police arrived at around 3:30 PM following a report of a male struggling in the water near Samuel Hunkins Drive. Two members of the public assisted officers in bringing the teenager to shore. Paramedics arrived and worked to revive him, but he was declared dead at the location.

The boy has been identified as Arad Aulder, a resident of Craddock Road, Nevis.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force said technicians examined the scene and requested an autopsy to establish the precise cause of death. The force is continuing to examine what happened.

Police leadership expressed sympathy to Aulder's family, friends, schoolmates and the broader Nevisian community.
