The Rotary Club of Central Tortola is urging residents to buy raffle tickets ahead of tomorrow's inaugural Early Bird draw, which will award $1,000 in cash at Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park on Friday, October 23, 2026.
Each ticket sells for $10 and can be purchased at more than a dozen retail and service locations. Outlets include Tortola Auto Group, CarQuest Auto Parts, The Original NY Pizza, Mi Amor, House of Luxury, McW Todman & Co, Caribbean Cellars, 284 Sporting Goods, D'Brew Coffee Shop, and NAGICO Insurances branches on Waterfront Drive and in Virgin Gorda.
The ultimate prize is a new 2026 BAIC BJ40 Plus vehicle. Money raised will support community development work undertaken by the club, with Tortola Auto Group and NAGICO Insurances serving as partners in the fundraising effort.
Club President Nelcia St. Jean said demand for tickets has been strong. "Every ticket purchased helps us turn our commitment to service into meaningful action. We want people to feel proud that their support will contribute to community development and help us make a lasting difference in the lives of others. We are grateful to Tortola Auto Group and NAGICO Insurances for sharing that vision and working alongside us," she said.
St. Jean added that the Early Bird draw is designed to sustain interest as the club works toward the eventual vehicle giveaway. She also called on businesses to participate by purchasing tickets and promoting the raffle to their employees and customers.
