Crystle Stewart, an actress from Netflix's Beauty in Black, served as Celebrity Host for the 16th Annual Summer Sizzle BVI, bringing international attention to the Caribbean fashion and lifestyle gathering.
Stewart participated in an editorial photoshoot at Long Bay Beach Resort, captured by New York-based photographer Michael William Paul. She modeled a piece by BVI designer Andrea Wilson from the Islander Swim Collection, spotlighting local design talent.
Content from Stewart's time in the islands circulated widely across her social media channels, reaching approximately 5.6 million people and generating more than 2.6 million interactions, delivering substantial international visibility for the destination.
Beyond the photoshoot, Stewart embarked on a private sailing trip to Virgin Gorda arranged by Long Bay Beach Resort and Speedy's Tours. The excursion included a stop at the Baths and a meal at Top of the Baths.
"The British Virgin Islands were absolutely magical. From the fashion and photography to sailing through the islands, every moment was a celebration of beauty, creativity and positive energy. I'm so grateful to Summer Sizzle BVI for such an unforgettable experience," Stewart said.
Terry Donovan, Founder and CEO of Summer Sizzle BVI, highlighted the impact of Stewart's involvement. "Her star power, her connection to Beauty in Black, and her genuine appreciation for the British Virgin Islands helped bring an incredible international spotlight to the destination," Donovan said.
Established in 2009, Summer Sizzle BVI functions as a platform for both emerging and established designers, performers, artists and international figures while promoting tourism and destination recognition. The 17th edition is scheduled for July 14, 19, 2027.
