The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting bids from companies and individuals to manage solid waste collection and handling on Jost Van Dyke over a three-year contract period.

Bidders must provide documentation proving compliance with taxes, duties, social security and national health insurance contributions, along with company registration papers. The Director of the Social Security Board and National Health Insurance, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and the Company Registry each issue certificates of good standing for this purpose. All certificates must be no more than six months old at the time of submission. Tenders lacking required supporting documents will be rejected when opened.

Tender documents are obtainable on business days from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm by emailing [email protected] with "Collection of Solid Waste Jost Van Dyke" in the subject line. A virtual pre-tender meeting takes place on Thursday 15 October 2026 at 10:00 am local time; attendance is optional but recommended so bidders understand all site conditions and cost factors.

Bidders must submit one original and three copies of their tender, plus one flash drive, in sealed envelopes marked accordingly and placed inside an outer envelope labelled "Collection of Solid waste Jost Van Dyke". The package goes to the Central Tenders Board at the Ministry of Finance Procurement Unit, RFG Place, 2nd Floor, Waterfront Drive, Road Town, Tortola.

The tender box closes at 10:00 am local time on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Tenders open at 11:00 am that day at the Procurement Unit; bidders may observe the opening via WebEx. The government reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and will not pay any costs incurred by bidders.
