Four sailors representing the British Virgin Islands took part in the 2026 Fall Regatta at the St Thomas Yacht Club over the weekend, posting solid results across two competitive divisions.
Sean Stacey topped one race and ended third overall in the Green Fleet, the entry-level category. Competing alongside him, Jervis Tucker-Davis secured fifth place in the same fleet, with his best single-race performance a third-place finish. For both men, this was their debut regatta away from the BVI.
The Championship Fleet saw Bobby Hensley and Piper Bailey represent the territory. Hensley, racing in that division for the first time, finished sixth overall with three consecutive fourth-place results as he adjusted to stiffer opposition. Bailey placed seventh, posting a fifth-place finish as her best race and demonstrating gains in boat handling and race starts across the two-day event.
Saturday's opening races unfolded in mild conditions, with winds ranging from the low teens. Variable wind patterns throughout the weekend tested competitors' decision-making, and sudden squalls created additional difficulties on the water.
The BVI team acknowledged the St Thomas Yacht Club's role as host, thanked the parents in attendance, and credited Horizon Yacht Charters for supplying the support vessel that accompanied the racers.
