The Discover Dominica Authority has unveiled a digital training course designed to strengthen the skills of travel advisors working to promote the island across international markets.

Offered via the Online Travel Training platform, the program gives travel professionals in-depth knowledge of Dominica's tourism assets and tools to craft personalized itineraries and travel plans for their clients, according to a statement released by the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

Marva Williams, the DDA's chief executive officer, emphasized the role that travel advisors play in reaching overseas visitors. "Travel advisors are important partners in connecting travelers with Dominica, particularly in our key source markets," Williams said. "This new course allows us to deepen their knowledge of the destination while expanding our reach among travel professionals who can confidently recommend Dominica to their clients."

The course is built around seven tourism pillars: Adventure, Health and Wellness, Romance, Aqua, Culture, Events and Entertainment, Agro, and Kalinago experiences. Learners explore the island's natural features, rainforests, rivers, waterfalls, and volcanic terrain, alongside its diving, wellness facilities, and cultural attractions.

Advisors who finish the training earn a Certificate of Completion. The program is now live on platforms serving the United States and United Kingdom, with rollout to France and Germany expected within months.

The DDA plans to promote the course among travel professionals in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada as part of a wider push to raise global awareness of Dominica's eco-tourism, wellness, adventure, and cultural draw.
