K'Dyah Lanea James has earned a spot among ten finalists competing in the 44th Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant on December 30, 2026, in St. Kitts and Nevis. The Miss Teen British Virgin Islands Organisation revealed the selection on Friday, October 23, after James was chosen from applicants across fifteen Caribbean nations and territories.
James claimed the Miss Teen BVI 2026 title on September 26 at a coronation held at Treasure Isle Hotel, taking over from Maya Z.V. Marcellin. At the regional competition, she will present a national treasure from the Virgin Islands as part of the pageant's 'Radiant Treasures of the Caribbean' theme, displaying the territory's heritage and natural landscape.
The selection builds on a breakthrough moment for the BVI. Marcellin became the first Miss Teen BVI to win the Haynes Smith crown in 2025, and James now carries forward that achievement as she competes internationally. The organisation has called on the community to support James throughout her preparation for the December event, stating that she will represent the British Virgin Islands with confidence, talent, and pride.
