The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board has made the shortlist for the Aspire Luxury Travel Club's Tourist Board of the Year 2026, the organisation announced on Thursday.
The Aspire Awards, run by a UK-based luxury travel club, judge entries on how well tourism bodies serve wealthy travellers. Shortlisted organisations are assessed on their trade and consumer strategies, luxury product offerings, and track record in drawing high-spending visitors. The BVI's selection signals that its tourism marketing, partnership work, and visitor experience efforts have impressed industry judges.
The accolade arrives as the Territory accumulates international recognition for its luxury travel appeal. In 2026, Modern Luxury's Travel Awards named the Virgin Islands the Caribbean's best luxury destination, building on its 2025 honour as Hottest Destination of the Year from the same publication. The Territory also ranked prominently in Travel and Leisure's 2026 World's Best Awards.
In July, the Virgin Islands hosted the 10th Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards, bringing together regional leaders and hospitality professionals and showcasing the Territory's ability to host premium events.
The Aspire ceremony will take place in Manchester on December 14, 2026. The shortlisting reflects the strength of the BVI's luxury resorts, yachting facilities, and tailored visitor experiences, as well as how effectively it markets itself to wealthy travellers and travel professionals, according to the announcement.
